I began my journey determined to earn my degree, but I chose to pause and put my children’s needs first. Years later, with the encouragement of a veteran teacher who believed in me, I found the strength to return and continue pursuing my dream. My story is a reminder to every paraprofessional that setbacks are not the end of the road—if you keep trying and never give up, the reward at the end of the journey will be worth every step.
