Georgia Teachers Initiative Grant Winner

Ms. Seippel of Barnwell Elementary School of Fulton County Schools will use a $500 Teacher Grant for Innovation to bring the StarLab portable planetarium to her second grade classroom. This immersive experience will enhance science instruction by aligning with the Georgia Standards of Excellence, helping students explore the solar system, seasonal patterns, and celestial cycles in an interactive and engaging way. The StarLab addresses a current gap in hands-on learning opportunities by allowing students to visualize and connect with complex astronomical concepts. Funding will support access to this traveling resource, turning abstract science standards into memorable, experiential learning.
